Minutes of HCR Club Meeting

June 2^nd 2005 – Yakima Athletic Club

Eric called the meeting to order at 7:07 P.M. Members present: Eric Anderson, Tony Sagare, Jean Flores, Kenn and Jean Zahn, Pat and Karen Miller, Larry McCaw, Bill and Virginia Nicholson, and Jack Carlton.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted.

Treasurer’s report: Most income and expenses for the month were related to Clear Lake. Tony bought some parts to fix the finish line stations. We have about $7500.00 in the marathon account.

Membership: We had 1 new member for the month. Total membership stands at 205. Tony requested that we send a newsletter to Mike and Stephanie Pratt in Olympia.

Newsletter: Hopefully it will be out shortly. The e-mail running reminders have been sent out and the web site was updated as of June 1^st.

Club runs: There was a good turnout at the Nicholson’s and lots of good food after the run. Check the calendar for future runs. There are some good ones coming up. The 25^th of August is open for hosting a run.

New Business: Volunteers are needed for the Gap to Gap and the Clear Lake runs.

Old Business: The club scholarships have been awarded. Recipients will be invited to the July 7^th meeting. Kenn will notify the respective schools. Frank Purdy was chosen to contact the Herald Republic. We are going to send all applicants 6 months of the newsletter. There was more discussion on buying a new computer system. Basically the decision has been made to buy a computer with an extra battery. Tony is going to contact the company and see if we can get a better deal on some of the extras.
