Jeff Hagen not only won his age group (61), but won the 48 hour race overall with a total of 180.508 miles!

Well done Jeff and kudos to Joyce for all of her time and supporting Jeff during the race. (Some people will do anything for a different way to bring in the New Year.)

The race was held at Nardini Manor on the 500 meter outdoor gravel/paved track in Buckeye, Arizona.

The ultra race consisted of 72, 48 and 24 hour races with the starts in 2008 and the finish on January 1, 2009.

(Just a note, a couple 'younger' racers participated too: Gavin, age 13, completed 50 miles+ and Aaron, age 9, completed 100+ miles!)
