East Valley Middle School

(This is the site of the Hard Core Runners Winter Race Series race #3. It is run the first part of January, rain, snow, cold, sun and or wind.)

To Get There:

From North/South 1st Street and Yakima Avenue -

Drive east on Yakima Avenue.

Option #1 ***** Due to road construction at the Nob Hill interchange, you may want to use the second option route to get to the middle school. Fall of 2005 to 2007*****

Move to the right lane and take the south bound entrance to I-82.

Follow I-82 and exit onto the Nob Hill Blvd ramp. Move into the left lane. At the traffic light, turn left heading east crossing over the freeway.

Continue east for approximately 4 ½ miles. Turn left onto Beaudry Road. Follow Beaudry Road north for approximately ¾ of a mile and the middle school will be on your right.

Option #2 – continue east on Yakima Avenue crossing over the freeway and the road becomes Terrace Heights Drive.

Continue across the Yakima River bridge and turn right onto 33^rd Street.

Follow 33^rd Street south for approximatey 1 mile and turn left onto Gun Club Road. (The entrance to Sportsman State Park will be on your right.)

Gun Club will curve to the right and head south becoming Birchfield Road.

Turn left onto Mieras Road just before the railroad crossing.

Follow Mieras Road east to the four way stop. Turn right onto Beaudry Road.

The middle school will be on your left.

Walk to the road edge, face south to start. (The middle school will be on your left and the high school will be on your right.)

Follow Beaudry Road south and turn left onto Duffield Road. As you are heading east, note the ACE Hardware warehouse on your right……you cannot miss this monster.

Duffield will curve to the right going south now.

At the T intersection/stop sign, turn left onto Postma Road.

Follow Postma east over the rise for approximately .35 of mile.

Turn left onto Faucher Road.

Enjoy the elevation change for the next mile.

At the T intersection/stop sign, turn left onto Mieras Road. If the weather is nice, great view.

Follow Mieras west back to the school parking lot where you started.
